"In order to celebrate the summer solstice, last year we spent the night with my wife in the great Ķemeri Bog which is one of the largest swamps in Latvia. We were lucky, as the weather turned out to be fantastic, with clear skies and lovely warm temperatures. Our aim was to spend the shortest night of the year on top of a wooden outpost, and enjoy a small picnic in the middle of the nature. Shortly after enjoying the magical vibes of the Baltic sunset, we've found ourselves alone in the vast swamp. As the wind was totally calm, it is hard to describe that quietness what was surrounding us. Past midnight, I started to see very faint NLC-like clouds. My sleepiness has been immediately replaced by excitement, as capturing Noctilucent clouds was a bucket list item for me that summer. As time passed by, it gradually got darker which gave the clouds a more prominent luminous look. I left the tower and searched for a composition that includes a perfect water reflection."
